All content from January 2023 until August 2024 was created and scheduled by me on the Six Flags Over Texas social media channels. Our biggest leap in followers was on TikTok and Instagram, increasing from 2k to 36k followers on TikTok in under a year, and growing 20k followers on instagram in the same time.

Our identity for instagram was based in bright colors, fun trends, and sales pushed by our corporate marketing partners.

Our highest engagement came from “#trainlesstuesday” which included a photo of a rollercoaster, without the trains on it. These posts did 2x better on average, and required me to learn how to safely navigate restricted and danger zones of attractions.

Our TikTok strategy focused on staying trendy, and creating trends ourself. Using popular sounds and dances, while incorporating Six Flags Over Texas icons and characters, I was able to create buzz online about the park, while targeting the younger thrill seeking demographic.

My most popular post, gaining 2.3 million views, featured a circus ringmaster character from our event ‘Scream Break’. The popularity of this TikTok caused the event to sell out the last two nights, after the video had been posted.
